title Sea eagle surfing
date11/24/2005 3:41:44 PM
detailsNorway,summer 2005
after spending a full week between wild sea eagles I noticed how the gulls intimidate the sea eagles while fishing. This one was brave enough to do a bit of surfing on the eagles back and shout to the sea eagle as well, very brave indeed.

46 gdanger (George Dangerfield)   (12/10/2005 5:16:09 PM)
While the technicals are not up to your usual high standards Miguel, it is never the less a fascinating and unique behavioral capture! Technically the whites are blown on the top of the gulls tail feathers, the belly of the Eagle is dark and featureless, the Eagle is looking slightly away from the camera, the gull is not as sharp as I would like, and I wish the Gull's beak was not blocking the view of the Eagle's eye. Still a great image that I am enjoying viewing!
47 Elisabeth   (12/10/2005 5:49:56 PM)
